Harvests Flourish When Producers are Given the Funds to Invest

Juan Guarcas used the loan provided by our partner MICOOPE (Federación Nacional de Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito) to invest in his fruit growing business, and now his harvest of peaches, plums, and apples has multiplied. Through our USDA-funded Food for Progress program, we help small Guatemalan producers like Guarcas increase their yields and enhance their production by providing them with the essential tools for successful farming and improved productivity.
