Partnering for Food Security and Education in Senegal

September 16, 2020

In Senegal, many children do not receive the nutrition they need to grow strong and stay focused in school. The USDA McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program addresses challenges to nutrition, health, and literacy in concert through community-led and community-based solutions.

In the Saint-Louis region, Counterpart partners with the government, school systems, and local farming economies to establish sustainable systems that reduce hunger and encourage good health and hygiene practices, keeping children healthy and in school.
