Hilda (“Bambi”) Arellano retired in 2014 from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) after serving in senior level positions in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Hungary, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Guatemala, among others. After her retirement, she served as Director of the Scholars in the Nation’s Service Initiative (SINSI) at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School. She currently remains engaged on foreign affairs issues through organizations that focus on international development, economic affairs, and the future of the U.S. foreign service.
