Ramin Nouroozi

Chief of Party, Afghanistan

Ramin Nouroozi is chief of party for the Afghanistan Countering Trafficking in Person III project, funded by USAID. He has over 20 years of experience in international development. Nouroozi has a proven track record of managing and leading complex programs, excelled in leading analytical work, and managed various program stakeholders. His experience spans working on several USAID-funded programs, UN agencies, INGOs, and NGOs. He has rich field-based experiences leading teams and delivering results in challenging closed civic space, and conflict and post-conflict environments uniquely enable him to manage and support smooth project implementation and delivery. Nouroozi has performed a variety of complex assignments in promoting democracy, governance, and human rights. He has gained valuable experience managing complex business processes, streamlining procedures, and mitigating risks. He has previously served as deputy chief of party and chief of party for USAID-funded programs. 

He is multilingual (fluent in English, Dari/Farsi, and Pashtu languages). He has an in-depth understanding of Afghanistan and the Middle East’s socio-cultural contexts and intercultural settings.
